Federal janitorial and grounds contracts for small cleaning and landscaping firms.
We review federal janitorial and grounds maintenance contracts and send you the ones worth bidding. For each one we check the set-aside, site visit, bonding requirement, wage determination and due date, so you only spend time on bids you can win. When you want help with the response, we draft it for you to review, price and sign.
How it works
Each week we go through federal award and contract records for janitorial (NAICS 561720) and landscaping and grounds (NAICS 561730) work. We drop contracts held under the AbilityOne program, since those are not open to other bidders, and send you the rest by state with the end date, agency, current holder and value.
Bid desk subscribers also get a go/no-go note on each contract: who it suits, what to check in the solicitation, and whether to pursue it now or wait for the notice. If you decide to bid, you can order a drafted response.
Sample
These are federal janitorial contracts ending in the next six to eight months, taken from public award records on USAspending.gov. Agencies usually rebid this work near the end of the period of performance, so these are the ones to watch now.

7 of 133 janitorial contracts as of October 19, 2026. Awarded is the total to date, not a yearly figure, and an end date can move if the agency exercises an option. AbilityOne contracts are identified by holder name, so a few may remain. See all contracts by state, free.
Sample go/no-go note
Bid desk subscribers get a note like this on every contract. What a go/no-go note is for.
Army, Florida, janitorial. Current holder McKenzie's Cleaning Inc; $1,231,738 awarded to date; period of performance ends May 31, 2027.
This is a good fit for firms already working in Florida that can show three years of comparable building cleaning. The solicitation should post four to six months before the end date. When it does, check whether it is set aside for small business or another status, whether the site visit is mandatory, the bonding and insurance minimums, and the Service Contract Act wage determination for the county, which sets your labor cost. The award size points to a multi-building contract, so plan to price a full crew.
Recommendation: watch, and decide when the solicitation posts.
This sample is based on the award record only. Notes on open solicitations also cover the set-aside, site visit, bonding and wage determination stated in the notice.

Questions
What is a go/no-go note, and how does it help?
A go/no-go note is a short written review of one contract that answers a single question: is this worth your time to bid? It says who the contract suits, what the solicitation is likely to require (set-aside status, site visit, bonding and insurance, past performance, the wage determination that sets your labor cost), and ends with one of three calls: bid, watch until the solicitation posts, or pass.
A federal bid takes days of work for a small firm, and many of them fail for reasons that were visible before the writing started: the firm did not qualify for the set-aside, could not meet the bonding, or priced against a wage rate it had not checked. The note lets you drop those contracts in a few minutes and spend your bidding time on the ones you can win. You make the final decision; the note gives you the facts to make it quickly.
Will the draft claim past performance or certifications we don't have?
No. The draft uses only the information you give us. Anything missing comes back to you as a question.
Do we need to schedule a call?
No. Orders, forms and questions are all handled online and by email.
Who sets the bid price?
You do. We leave the pricing sections for you to complete and note how the solicitation wants them laid out.
Can you guarantee we will win?
No. Our goal is to help you bid on fewer contracts that fit, with responses that are complete and compliant.
